摘要

主序 B 型星中的恒星脉动是由铁族元素不透明度凸起驱动的 $\kappa$ 机制引起的。当前模型并未预测在极低金属丰度下 B 光谱区域存在不稳定带。由于已测量到麦哲伦云的金属丰度约为 SMC 的 $Z=0.002$ 和 LMC 的 $Z=0.007$ ，它们构成了检验这些预测的非常合适的天体。
