摘要
本文非正式介绍星尘 proof of stake 共识方案，并讨论相关的设计决策与考虑事项。我们提出的星尘协议旨在 facilitate 为 proof of work 区块链创建 proof of stake sidechain。我们呈现一种新颖的基于密度的可组合链选择规则概述，可被视为某些标准现有最长链规则的超集。我们比较星尘协议与现有 proof of stake 协议之间的差异，并界定其相对于现有设计的优势，同时阐述了工作的局限性。星尘目前已在 Mintlayer proof of stake 比特币 sidechain 中实现。
