摘要
UniProt 的主要使命是通过维护一个稳定、全面、完全分类、丰富且准确注释的蛋白质序列知识库来支持生物学研究，该知识库具有广泛的外部资源交叉引用，并免费提供给科学界。为了使知识库的用户能够准确评估该资源中包含信息的可靠性，必须记录信息的证据和溯源。本文讨论了这类元数据的用户需求以及 UniProtKB 记录这些信息的方式。
