费米任务上的LAT仪器将揭示>100 MeV波段丰富的谱和时变伽马射线暴现象。与费米GBM探测器的协同作用将把这些观测与已充分探索的10-1000 keV范围内的观测联系起来;>100 MeV波段观测的加入将解决关于爆发瞬时阶段和余辉阶段的理论不确定性。触发算法将应用于航天器上和地面上的LAT数据。由于星上和地面可用计算资源的差异,这些触发的灵敏度将有所不同。本文介绍了LAT的爆发探测方法和仪器的GRB能力。
