没有图书馆的专业天文学

摘要
几乎所有从事“严肃”天文学的场所都设有图书馆员，即便是与物理或数学部门共享。鉴于在1994年成立的Universidad de Guanajuato（UG）的Astronomía部门（Departamento de Astronomía, DA）至今未配备图书馆员、合理的藏书存放空间以及允许机构性期刊订阅的预算，我描述了我五年来作为“业余”图书馆员的经历，并介绍了类似情况下的墨西哥其他小型天文机构的情况。
