摘要
非线性现象是许多海洋和大气过程的基本组成部分，对它们的成功理解得益于海洋学家、气象学家、物理学家和数学家之间的多学科合作。本期关于“海洋与大气流中的非线性过程”的特刊收录了2008年7月在西班牙卡斯特罗-乌尔迪亚莱斯举行的、秉承上述精神的研讨会的与会者所精选的投稿。在此，我们总结了特刊的投稿内容，包括关于拉格朗日和欧拉框架下海洋输运表征、急流和波的产生与变率、流体流动与浮游生物动力学或重液滴的相互作用、气象场中的标度律以及厄尔尼诺-南方涛动的统计特性等方面的论文。
