Planck 中间结果。XLVII. Planck 对再电离历史的约束

摘要

我们研究了从 Planck 宇宙微波背景(CMB)数据中提取的对宇宙再电离的约束。我们将 Planck CMB 温度各向异性数据与低多极矩偏振数据相结合,以拟合具有各种再电离历史参数化的 LCDM 模型。对于普遍采用的瞬时再电离模型,我们得到汤姆逊光深 τ=0.058 ± 0.012。这仅利用 CMB 各向异性数据就证实了结合 Planck 2015 结果与其他数据集所暗示的低值,并减小了不确定性。我们使用对称或非对称模型重建了中性相与电离相之间过渡的电离率历史。为了更好地确定再电离过程持续时间的约束,我们还利用高分辨率阿塔卡马宇宙学望远镜(Atacama Cosmology Telescope)和南极望远镜(South Pole Telescope)实验的额外信息,测量了动力学 Sunyaev-Zeldovich(kSZ)效应的幅度。发现再电离发生的平均红移位于 z=7.8 到 8.8 之间,具体取决于所采用的再电离模型。利用 kSZ 约束和一个红移对称再电离模型,我们发现再电离时期宽度的上限为 Δz < 2.8。在所有情况下,我们发现在红移高于 z~10 时,宇宙的电离程度低于 10%。这表明 Planck 数据强烈不支持再电离的早期开始。我们证明这一结果也减少了基于 CMB 的分析与其他天体物理源约束之间的紧张关系。
