普朗克早期结果:高频仪器在轨性能的首次评估

普朗克高频仪器旨在测量宇宙微波背景辐射的温度和极化各向异性以及银河系前景,其六个宽波段中心频率分别为100、143、217、353、545和857 GHz,角分辨率分别为10角分(100 GHz)、7角分(143 GHz)和5角分(217 GHz及以上)。HFI自2009年5月14日发射以来一直运行完美。辐射热测量计按计划冷却至100 mK。优化HFI在轨噪声性能的读出电子设备设置(如辐射热测量计偏置电流)与地面测试期间选择的设置几乎相同。对火星、木星和土星的观测验证了光学系统和探测链的时间响应。光学波束接近物理光学建模的预测。探测链的时间响应接近发射前测量结果。探测器受到与太阳活动低相关的意外高宇宙射线通量的影响。由于普朗克观测策略的冗余性,移除少量受尖峰信号污染的数据不会显著影响灵敏度。宇宙射线显著加热辐射热测量计板,而热负荷在数天至数月周期内的调制造成了所有辐射热测量计信号的共同漂移,但这不影响科学能力。只有高能宇宙射线簇射会引起不均匀加热,这可能是低频噪声的一个来源。
