时间调制的电子束有着广泛的应用,从产生相干增强的电磁辐射到在先进加速器概念中谐振激发电磁尾场。同样,产生低能超短微束团可用于超快电子衍射和基于加速器的新型光源概念。在本快报中,我们提出并实验演示了一种能够在 ~MeV 形成皮秒束团列的被动微聚束技术。该方法依赖于电子束穿过介质衬里波导时电磁尾场的激发。由于束流的非超相对论性质,诱导的能量调制在束流随后的自由空间漂移中最终转化为密度调制。调制后的束流被进一步加速至 ~MeV,同时保留所施加的密度调制。
