对高激发分子发射线的观测可以极大地增进我们对 AGB 星风的理解，因为它们示踪了星周包层的最内层区域。赫歇尔空间望远镜搭载的 PACS 光谱仪首次提供了追踪这些谱线所需的 spectral resolution 和灵敏度。我们报告了对 OH/IR 星 V669 Cas 的 PACS 光谱扫描的首次建模工作。我们方法的核心是通过联合使用线辐射传输和连续谱辐射传输代码，对尘埃和气体进行一致处理。发现水发射线对尘气比极为敏感，强调了尘埃与气体一致建模的必要性。
