DESI legacy 成像巡天概述

摘要

DESI Legacy 成像巡天是三个公共项目(暗能量相机 Legacy 巡天、北京-亚利桑那巡天和 Mayall z 波段 Legacy 巡天)的组合,将利用基特峰国家天文台和托洛洛山美洲际天文台的望远镜,在北半球可见的约 14000 平方度河外天区,以三个光学波段(g、r 和 z)联合成像。合并后的巡天足迹被银道面分割为两个连续区域。光学成像采用一种独特的策略,在观测期间动态调整曝光时间和指向选择,从而形成近乎均匀深度的巡天。除定标图像外,该项目还提供目录,采用基于概率推断的方法估计源的形状与亮度。该目录包含来自 grz 光学波段以及宽视场红外巡天探测器(WISE)卫星在其整个运行寿命期间观测到的四个中红外波段(3.4、4.6、12 和 22 微米)测光。项目计划每年两次公开数据发布。所有用于生成目录的软件也随数据一同发布。本文提供 Legacy 巡天项目的概述。
