Procyon A 中的振荡:多站点观测活动的首批结果

摘要

Procyon A 是一颗位于双星系统中的明亮 F5IV 型恒星。尽管该恒星的距离、质量和角直径均已高精度测定,但其确切的演化状态仍不清楚。具有不同年龄和核心不同氢质量分数的演化轨迹在误差范围内均穿过 Procyon A 在赫罗图中的观测位置。十多年来,多个不同研究组一直致力于研究 Procyon A 中的类太阳振荡,以确定其演化状态。虽然几项研究独立地在周期图中检测到了功率超量,但实际的振荡频率尚未达成一致。这可能是由于缺乏足够的高质量数据(即混叠效应),或是由于恒星的内禀属性(即模式寿命短)所致。目前,一项利用全球 10 台望远镜进行的光谱多站点观测活动(旨在最小化混叠效应)已完成,总时间跨度近 4 周(提高了频率分辨率),旨在识别该恒星的频率并最终确定其属性和演化状态。
