摘要
软X射线共振散射(XRS)被首次用于直接观测多铁性TbMnO3中Mn和Tb位点上局域电子态的有序化。当入射光子能量调谐到Mn L边或Tb M边时,观察到X射线散射截面的巨大共振增强,这分别提供了Mn 3d和Tb 4f电子态的信息。XRS信号的温度依赖性以模型无关的方式确定,在高温相(28 K ≤ T ≤ 42 K)中,Mn 3d子晶格显示出长程有序。发现Tb 4f子晶格仅在进入28 K以下的铁电/磁联合态时才有序化。我们的结果与最近的硬XRS实验(对空间扩展轨道敏感)和中子散射进行了讨论。
