主注入器大孔径四极磁铁 (WQB) 的运行方面

费米实验室于 2006 年夏季完成了一项为期两年的大孔径四极磁铁 (WQB) 项目。技术部门设计、制造并进行了台架测试的九块 WQB 磁铁中,七块已安装在主注入器中,另外两块作为备件。它们表现良好。孔径的增加达到了设计目标,且对晶格的扰动极小。注入和引出区域的机器接受度从 40pi 增加到了 60pi mm-mrad。本文简要报告了这些磁铁的运行情况和性能。
