在作者于SIAM J. Appl. Math, 74, 392-410, 2014发表其近期论文后，作者意识到实际上他在那篇论文中首次解决了一个长期存在的开放问题，而此前并未意识到这一点。这个问题是关于没有相位信息的三维逆散射问题的唯一性。因此，在当前论文中明确做出后一陈述并制定相应的唯一性定理是有意义的。
