在盘基网柄菌(Dictyostelium discoideum)中,已知细胞类型的比例受到主动调节,例如在移除某种细胞类型后能够恢复。然而,我们最近表明,这种调节本质上是不精确的:它控制比例高于或低于某些上下阈值,但不能控制在这些阈值定义的允许值范围内。为了解释这一发现,我们提出了一个基于 (i) 全局负反馈和 (ii) 导致迟滞行为(即细胞类型的双稳态)的细胞自主正反馈的模型。模拟的细胞类型比例确实因双稳态而跨越一系列值。我们得出结论,比例调节的精度与细胞类型分化的鲁棒性之间存在普遍冲突。
