MAGIC望远镜立体模式观测耀变体3C 66A

摘要

我们报告了使用MAGIC望远镜对中频峰BL Lac天体3C 66A的新观测。使用的数据样本取自2009年12月和2010年1月,包括2.3小时立体模式下的高质量数据。在此期间,我们从耀变体3C 66A方向探测到显著信号。新的MAGIC立体系统被证明在区分3C 66A和距离仅6′的邻近射电星系3C 66B方面发挥了关键作用。推导出的100 GeV以上积分流量为蟹状星云流量的8.3%,能谱由光子指数3.64 ± 0.39_stat ± 0.25_sys的幂律描述。在误差范围内,这与VERITAS在2009年推导的结果一致。根据经河外背景光吸收校正后的谱,我们发现在应用的四个模型之间仅存在微小差异,并将该耀变体的红移限制为z < 0.68。
