利用 IceTop 空气簇射阵列观测宇宙射线各向异性

摘要
我们报告了在 PeV 能量下宇宙射线到达方向分布中各向异性的观测结果。该分析基于 2009 年至 2012 年间在南极利用 IceTop 空气簇射阵列采集的数据。IceTop 是 IceCube 探测器的一个组成部分,对 100 TeV 至 1 EeV 之间的宇宙射线敏感。凭借当前 IceTop 数据集的规模,对 10^-3 量级各向异性的搜索首次得以扩展至 PeV 能量。我们将数据集分为两部分,其中位能量分别为 400 TeV 和 2 PeV。在低能段,我们观测到一个强烈的缺失区,其角尺寸约为 30 度,幅度为 (-1.58 +/- 0.46 (stat) +/- 0.52 (sys)) x 10^(-3),位置与此前利用 IceCube 中微子探测器观测宇宙射线的结果一致。对高能段的研究表明,各向异性持续存在至 PeV 能量,且幅度增加至 (-3.11 +/- 0.38 (stat) +/- 0.96 (sys)) x 10^(-3)。
