摘要
来自野边山射电日像仪的17 GHz太阳图像以及Yohkoh卫星上软X射线望远镜（SXT）的X射线图像，对于使用通量调制方法估算太阳日冕自转特别有意义。这些研究确立了太阳日冕存在较差自转。射电图像估算的赤道自转周期低于X射线图像估算的结果。日冕自转的纬度廓线具有时间变异性。有趣的是，恒星自转周期的时空图清晰地显示出南北不对称性。这种不对称性似乎在太阳的奇偶活动周中改变其符号。
