基于大型合作网络光学数据的小行星凸形状新模型与更新模型

摘要

过去十年间的小行星建模工作产出了包含近400个凸形状模型及其自转状态的综合性数据集。这一数据量已为深入了解主带小行星或大型碰撞族的物理性质提供了深刻洞察。我们旨在增加小行星形状模型和自转状态的数量。这些结果对于各种进一步研究是重要的输入,例如分析不同族群中小行星的物理性质(包括较小的碰撞族)、热物理建模,以及通过盘面分辨图像或恒星掩星数据对形状模型进行缩放。结合已知质量,这提供了体密度估计,同时也约束了太阳系的理论碰撞与演化模型。我们将所有可用的盘面积分光学数据(即从公开数据库和通过大型合作网络获取的经典密集时间分辨率光度测量,以及来自几次巡天观测的稀疏时间分辨率单次测量)作为凸反演方法的输入,导出了小行星的三维形状模型,以及它们的自转周期和自转轴方向。关键要素是一百多名观测者的支持,他们将光学数据提交至公开可用的数据库。我们给出了36颗小行星的更新形状模型,这些小行星的质量估计目前在文献中可获取,或者其质量最有可能通过它们对较小天体的引力影响来确定,而这些较小天体的轨道偏移将由ESA Gaia天体测量任务观测。这是通过使用来自近期视的光学数据进行形状优化来实现的。此外,我们还给出了250颗小行星的新形状模型测定结果,包括13颗Hungaria小行星和3颗近地小行星。
