摘要
特殊设计的金属-介电复合材料在光学范围内可以具有负折射率。具体来说，研究表明，单根和成对的纳米棒阵列可以提供这种负折射。对于成对的金属棒，在1.5微米处观察到了负折射率。金属膜中成对空洞的反转结构也可能表现出负折射率。类似的效果也可以通过金属条实现，其折射率可以达到-2。文中讨论了折射率提取过程以及光相位在确定折射率中的关键作用。
