M 星系中 FeH Wing-Ford 带的特性

我们通过对 M 星系中 9850 - 10200 埃的 FeH Wing-Ford 带进行观测，采用合成光谱拟合方法，并利用最新的大气模型。基于光谱合成，我们分析了该带随大气参数的变化。FeH 线是非常灵敏的表面重力指示器，矮星中的强度更大。它也对金属丰度(Allard & Hauschildt 1995)敏感。在低分辨率(或高速度分散)情况下，Wing-Ford 带对表面重力的响应不受 CN 线的混合影响，因为 CN 线在整个光谱中分布，且在 FWHM 3 埃的卷积下会被稀释。我们得出结论，Wing-Ford 带是研究复合恒星群体的矮星/巨星指示器的合适选择。
