红移高于6的类星体宿主星系恒星光的探测

在再电离时期()探测类星体宿主星系的星光一直难以实现,即使借助深 HST 观测也是如此。目前探测到的最高红移类星体宿主位于 ,需要前景透镜星系的放大效应。来自超主相机昴星团战略计划(HSC-SSP)的低光度类星体缓解了探测其先前未探测到的底层宿主星系的挑战。在此我们报道用 JWST 对两个 的 HSC-SSP 类星体的静止帧光学图像和光谱。使用 NIRCam 在 3.6m 和 1.5m 的成像并减去未分辨类星体的光,我们发现宿主星系质量大(恒星质量分别为 和 M)、致密且盘状。NIRSpec 中分辨率光谱在质量较大的类星体中显示出恒星吸收线,确认了对宿主的探测。这些类星体附近速度展宽的气体的测量给出了它们的黑洞质量(分别为 和 M)。它们在黑洞质量-恒星质量平面中的位置与低红移处的分布一致,表明黑洞与其宿主星系之间的关系在宇宙大爆炸后不到十亿年就已经确立。
