Murchison Widefield Array对ANTARES中微子事件射电辐射的上限

我们利用Murchison Widefield Array (MWA) 对ANTARES中微子望远镜在2013年11月和2014年3月探测到的两个候选高能中微子事件进行了电磁对应体的搜寻。这些事件由ANTARES选出,因为它们在0.4度范围内与距离地球20 Mpc内的星系位置相符。利用频率在118至182 MHz之间的MWA存档数据,这些数据分别在中微子触发前约20天、触发同时以及触发后长达一年的时间获取,我们寻找与中微子位置相符的瞬变或强变射电源。未探测到此类对应体,我们为20 Mpc处的前身源设定了低频射电辐射的5 sigma上限,约为~1E37 erg/s。如果中微子源不在邻近星系中,而是源于双中子星并合,我们的上限将前身源限制在z > 0.2处。尽管由于大气中微子的高背景,这两个事件都可能不是天体物理起源,但MWA的观测仍是首批在射电波段对中微子候选体进行后续观测的工作之一,并展示了像MWA这样的宽视场仪器在探测此类事件电磁对应体方面的潜力。
