μ子氢级联时间和短寿命$2S$态的寿命

摘要
亚稳态μ子氢原子经历碰撞猝灭,其速率强烈依赖于动能是高于还是低于能量阈值。在阈值以上,允许碰撞激发随后快速辐射退激发。相应的短寿命组分在0.6 hPa 室温气体压力下测量,寿命 ns(即,在液氢密度下)和布居数 %(每个原子)。此外,还发现了级联时间 ns的值。
