福尔纳星团中超紧凑天体的多颜色成像

摘要
超紧凑矮星系(UCD)是我们在福尔纳与维罗拉星团中心区域发现的新型星系。在地面成像下难以分辨，UCD 拥有典型老星系的光谱。在福尔纳星团中已发现 92 个 UCD，成为该星团中最丰富的星系类型。本文使用 CTIO 4m Mosaic 望远镜对福尔纳星团中心区域进行 u'g'r'i'z' 多颜色成像。亮 UCD 的颜色-星等关系在定性上与 UCD 为 dE,N 的被剥离核团是一致的。但在暗星等处，GC 与 UCD 无法仅凭颜色加以区分。测量其内部速度分散和金属丰度的高分辨率光谱 spectroscopy 是区分 GC 与 UCD 的必要手段。
