主要在 GSI/FRS 装置上获得的新实验数据允许修正碎裂截面的经验参数化 EPAX。将表明对参数的微小修改即可大幅改善对测量截面的再现。最显著的变化涉及对靠近弹核处的碎裂产额以及缺中子弹核的记忆效应的描述。
