我们研究了一组与图相关矩阵的不同特征值的最小数量。基于图中某些环的存在或不存在，我们推导了下界。一个关键结果证明每个Johnson图都有一个恰好具有两个不同特征值的符号变体。我们还探讨了在称重矩阵、线性三元码、紧框架中的应用，并计算了Johnson图的最小秩。进一步的结果涉及关联方案、距离正则图和汉明图中不同特征值的最小数量。我们还建立了一些与单纯复形和高阶拉普拉斯算子的联系。
