摘要
十年前，我们的团队完成了哈勃空间望远镜关于河外距离尺度的关键项目。在约 25 个星系中探测到了造父变星，并用于校准四个次级距离指示器，这些指示器能够延伸到星系本动速度噪声之外的膨胀场中。结果是 H_0 = 72 ± 8 km/sec/Mpc，结束了星系距离不确定度达两倍的状况。这项工作获得了 2009 年格鲁伯宇宙学奖。
