测量从Helium Lyman-α森林中的Omega_b

描述了一种从高红移星际吸收中提取Omega_b的新方法，基于在准星 ionization zone中空洞中HeII Ly-alpha光谱深度分布。来自z=3时PKS 1935-692的最近HST-STIS光谱的初步估计给出Omega_b h^2 = 0.013^{+0.002}_{-0.001}（1-sigma统计误差，采用Lambda-CDM宇宙学，另有系统误差）。该结果与其他估计值一致。
