测量从Helium Lyman-α森林中的Omega_b

摘要

描述了一种从高红移星际吸收中提取Omega_b的新方法,基于在准星 ionization zone中空洞中HeII Ly-alpha光谱深度分布。来自z=3时PKS 1935-692的最近HST-STIS光谱的初步估计给出Omega_b h^2 = 0.013^{+0.002}_{-0.001}(1-sigma统计误差,采用Lambda-CDM宇宙学,另有系统误差)。该结果与其他估计值一致。
