利用b强子半轻子衰变测量Vub

摘要
基于b -> Xu l nu事件拓扑和运动学，通过测量OPAL上美强子的无粲半轻子衰变分支比，确定了CKM矩阵元Vub的大小。本分析使用了OPAL在1991年至1995年间收集的数据，相当于约四百万个强子Z衰变。我们测得Br(b -> Xu l)为(1.63 +/- 0.53 +0.55/-0.62) x 10^(-3)。第一个不确定度是统计误差，第二个是系统误差。根据此分析，确定Vub为：|Vub| = (4.00 +/- 0.65(stat) +0.67/-0.76(sys) +/- 0.19(HQE)) x 10^(-3)。最后一个误差代表与使用重夸克展开从Br(b -> Xu l)提取|Vub|相关的理论不确定性。
