W玻色子质量的测量

摘要
我们给出了利用费米实验室Tevatron对撞机1992-93运行期间CDF探测器收集的数据对W玻色子质量的测量结果。对积分亮度为19.7 pb⁻¹的3268个W→μν事件样本的横质量谱进行拟合，得到质量M_W^μ = 80.310 ± 0.205（统计）± 0.130（系统）GeV/c²。对积分亮度为18.2 pb⁻¹的5718个W→eν事件样本的横质量谱进行拟合，得到质量M_W^e = 80.490 ± 0.145（统计）± 0.175（系统）GeV/c²。结合电子和μ子通道的结果，并考虑相关不确定性，得到质量M_W = 80.410 ± 0.180 GeV/c²。
