在这封信中，我们报告了使用锂原子干涉仪对Aharonov-Casher (AC)几何相位的测量。AC相位出现在携带磁偶极子的粒子在横向电场中传播时。AC相位的首次测量是1989年A. Cimmino等人用中子干涉仪完成的（Phys. Rev. Lett. 63, 380, 1989），随后的所有实验都是用分子或原子的Ramsey或Ramsey-Bordé干涉仪完成的。在我们的实验中，我们使用泵浦到单个超精细-塞曼子能级的锂原子，并通过在两个干涉仪臂上施加相反的电场来测量AC相位。我们的测量结果与预期理论值吻合良好，并证明该相位与原子速度无关。
