人马座 A* 周围存在环核恒星盘以及其他黑洞附近的巨脉泽系统，表明在星系核中可以发现致密中性盘。我们表明，根据其倾角、光学深度和自旋温度，这些盘可以通过 21 厘米吸收进行光谱观测。对 Sgr A* 的相关光谱观测可确定其 HI 盘参数以及盘中可能存在间隙。类似于 G2 的致密气体团块也可以针对 Sgr A* 射电辐射在 21 厘米吸收中被探测到。
