月球轨道 VLBI 实验:动机、科学目的与现状

摘要
月球轨道 VLBI 实验(LOVEX)是中国探月工程(CLEP)嫦娥七号的一个科学组成部分。LOVEX 的星载部分在鹊桥二号中继卫星上实现,该卫星于2024年3月20日发射,随后被置入椭圆绕月轨道。LOVEX 专用有效载荷包括 X 波段低温接收机、氢原子钟频率标准以及 VLBI 数据格式化与采集电子设备。鹊桥二号星载常规仪器的若干组件,如4.2米天线、数据存储设备和下行通信系统,共同构成了完整的星载 VLBI 设备。这使我们能够形成一台空间射电望远镜, capable of co-observing with Earth-based radio telescopes in VLBI mode. 在该空间 VLBI 系统中,基线长度最长可达约380,000公里。本文介绍了 LOVEX 的科学目标、架构、仪器设备、发射前测试、在轨验证与校准,以及通过对类星体 AO 0235+164 和位于日地拉格朗日 L2 点的嫦娥六号轨道模块进行观测,首次实现在轨探测到干涉响应(“条纹”)。这些初步结果证明了 LOVEX 的成功性能,验证了其在超长 VLBI 基线下进行天文和航天器跟踪观测的能力。
