强子碰撞中的低质量轻子对产生

摘要
质量为、横动量为的轻子对的强子产生可以在微扰QCD中用与直接光子产生相同的部分子子过程来描述。我们证明，与直接光子产生一样，在区域，轻子对产生由夸克-胶子散射主导。这导致在对撞机和固定靶实验中均可达到的运动学区域内对胶子密度的敏感性，同时消除了直接光子产生中存在的理论和实验不确定性。
