EDELWEISS实验的低质量暗物质搜寻

摘要

EDELWEISS合作组使用配备电荷与声子信号读出的锗探测器搜寻轻暗物质(DM)粒子。利用Neganov-Trofimov-Luke效应,在Modane地下实验室地下运行的重型(33.4 g)Ge探测器上获得了0.53个电子-空穴对的均方根分辨率。这一创纪录的灵敏度使得对低至1 eV/c²的暗光子DM以及低于1 MeV/c²的DM-电子相互作用的搜寻成为可能。这首次证明了低温Ge探测器在低阈值搜寻中的高度相关性,也是EDELWEISS-SubGeV计划背景下开发性能更优Ge探测器的重要一步。
