巨赤道角度大气观测——基于高分辨率 GRANITE III 相机

Whipple 链球仪站在亚利桑那州 Mount Hopkins 上的 Fred Lawrence Whipple 观测站 (海拔 2300 米) 所装配的 GRANITE III 相机，目前在该仪器上使用的所有相机中角分辨率最高。相机中心区域包含 379 个像素，每个像素的角径为 0.12 度。这使得该仪器特别适合观测来自 gamma 介导的气象-喷流在巨赤道角度 (zenith angle) 较大时的观测，因为喷流最大距离导致该仪器焦平面上喷流图像更小。我们基于对 Mkn 421 的观测以及蒙特卡洛模拟，检验了该仪器在 zenith angle 最多达 63 度时观测 gamma 介导气象-喷流的性能。我们提出一种改进标准数据分析方法的建议。
