加速ICT绿色演进的关键技术——运营商视角

摘要
网络流量的指数级增长以及5G所承诺的新业务等带来的倍增，导致基础设施能耗大幅增加。多年来，全球许多电信运营商都面临着能耗与绿色组网问题，如今它们一致认为这已从可持续发展举措转变为OPEX问题。因此，使ICT行业更具能效与环境友好已成为一项基本目标，这不仅是为了绿色网络，也是为了绿色业务领域——使ICT行业能帮助其他工业部门清理其自身能耗。本文从一家欧洲电信运营商的视角看待绿色组网。基于超过15年的现场经验与国际协作研究项目，我们提出了若干可加速此ICT绿色演进的技术进展。基本上，本文是对ICT行业在绿色网络中演进的整体综述，涵盖光网络与无线网络，并从硬件改进到软件时代以及绿色编排。
