利用VERITAS研究MGRO J1908+06的TeV形态

我们报告了利用VERITAS甚高能(VHE)伽马射线天文台对扩展TeV伽马射线源MGRO J1908+06进行的深度观测。此前,TeV发射被归因于Fermi-LAT脉冲星PSR J1907+0602的脉冲星风云(PWN)。我们在14个标准偏差(14 sigma)的显著性水平上探测到MGRO J1908+06,并测得光子指数为2.20 ± 0.10_stat ± 0.20_sys。TeV发射是扩展的,覆盖了PSR J1907+0602附近区域,并延伸至超新星遗迹G40.5-0.5。当用二维高斯拟合时,内在扩展的标准偏差为sigma_src = 0.44 ± 0.02度。与其他类似年龄的TeV脉冲星风云(其中TeV谱随距脉冲星距离增加而变软)不同,在脉冲星位置附近测得的TeV谱与在距G40.5-0.5边缘0.33度位置测得的谱一致。
