我们研究了原型外尔半金属 TaAs 的磁性。TaAs 晶体表现出弱抗磁性，在 5 K 时磁化率约为 -7 * 10^{-7} emu/(g*Oe)。一个普遍特征是在随温度变化的磁化测量中，约 185 K 处出现一个极小值。在 5 K 到 400 K 温度范围内未观察到相变。这些磁性表明 TaAs 的本征费米能级不在外尔节点处，与理论预测一致。
