低状态的中间极星

摘要
尽管近年来没有观察到任何中间极星（IP）下降到低质量传递率状态，但仍有候选星表明它们可能已经处于中间或低状态。V709 Cas 可能是一种中间状态 IP；NSV 2872 似乎是一种低状态 IP，如果它返回到高状态，可能类似于长轨道周期的 IP V1072 Tau。该神秘的 V407 Vul 已被许多解释为超短期二进制星的现象，其许多相似之处与 pre-cataclysmic variable V471 Tau 相同，可能因此是一种轨道周期较长的 IP 前体，尚非完全成熟的类天体。
