利用 Penning-Malmberg 阱中的电子等离子体进行原位电磁场诊断

摘要

我们展示了一种用于探测 Penning-Malmberg 阱中电子等离子体回旋共振频率的新方法。利用该技术,电子等离子体可作为原位诊断工具,用于测量阱内的静态磁场和微波电场。通过微波辐射激发电子等离子体的回旋运动,并通过监测等离子体的四极模频率来无损地测量其温度变化。空间分辨的微波电场强度可从等离子体温度变化中推断,而磁场则通过回旋共振频率确定。这些测量在最近报道的反氢原子共振量子相互作用演示中得到了广泛应用。
