B型CATCH卫星在轨背景模拟

摘要

追逐所有暂现源星座猎手(CATCH)空间任务计划发射三类微卫星(A、B与C)。B型CATCH卫星专用于暂现源定位及其随时间变化的能谱探测。B型卫星配备轻量Wolter-I X射线光学系统与位置敏感多像素硅漂移探测器阵列。为优化科学载荷以在轨正常运行并高灵敏度观测,本工作使用Geant4工具包对B型CATCH卫星进行在轨背景模拟。结果表明,持久背景由宇宙X射线弥漫背景与宇宙线质子主导。还估算了动态背景,考虑辐射带中被俘获带电粒子与近地磁赤道低能带电粒子,其由孔径外入射电子主导。焦斑内模拟持久背景用于估算观测灵敏度,即曝光104^{4} s、Crab类源谱下4.22×\times1013^{-13} erg cm2^{-2} s1^{-1},可进一步用于优化屏蔽设计。模拟在轨背景还表明,光学系统正下方的磁偏转器在此类微卫星中或可不必要,因为孔径外带电粒子引发的动态背景约为孔径内者的3个数量级之大。
