CDMS II 锗数据改进的 WIMP 搜索范围

摘要
利用改进的电荷脉冲拟合算法重新处理了 Soudan 地下实验室 5 塔运行期间的 CDMS II 数据。两种新的分析技术被应用于 612 kg 天的锗探测器 WIMP 搜索曝光量,以排除表面事件背景。还完成了一项扩展分析,将 10 keV 的分析阈值降低至 5 keV,以提高对 8 GeV/ 附近 WIMP 质量的灵敏度。盲测解除后,在 10 keV 以上沉积能量处未发现候选事件,而在低阈值分析中发现了 6 个事件。这使得在 90\% 置信度下,60 GeV/ 和 8.6 GeV/ WIMP 的最小 WIMP-核子自旋无关散射截面限制分别为 和 cm。相较于之前的 CDMS II 结果,这对 60 (8.6) GeV/ WIMP 的改进因子为 2.4 (2.7)。
