摘要
本白皮书为支持 NASA 的 2023–2032 行星十年调查而撰写,概述了聚焦于塑造天王星和海王星大气的起源、演化及当前过程的 10 个主要问题。在未来十年优先研究这些问题将极大提升我们对这类自旅行者号飞掠以来基本未被探索的独特行星的认识。研究冰巨星的大气将极大增进我们对整个太阳系起源与演化的理解,也有助于理解日益增多的包含海王星质量行星的系外行星系统。
