朝向核球球状星团NGC 6440方向的高分辨率消光图

摘要
我们利用搭载于哈勃空间望远镜上的宽场相机3的UVIS通道所获取的光学图像,构建了朝向NGC 6440(位于银河系核球中的一个球状星团)方向的首幅高分辨率消光图。该图在空间分辨率为0.5角秒的约160角秒×240角秒的矩形区域(长边沿西北/东南方向)上覆盖星团中心周围。我们发现吸收云呈现出斑块状和丝状子结构,消光变化高达 mag。我们还进行了首次阶自行分析,以区分星团成员与场星闯入者。在经过场星去污染和差分红化修正后,颜色-星等图中的星团序列显得定义更加清晰,提供了迄今为止该星团最好的光学颜色-星等图。
