第三版 EGRET 目录列出 271 个源并为其中 101 个提供鉴定。因此，目前我们所知的伽马射线天空中，未鉴定源占多数。解决未鉴定伽马射线源的谜团是所有天文学领域的重大挑战。本文我们将审查不同的方法以实现源鉴定以及迄今为止所取得的成果。
