HgMn星作为明显的X射线发射体

摘要
在ROSAT全天景调查中，发现了11颗HgMn星作为软X射线发射体 (Berghoefer, Schmitt & Cassinelli 1996)。在ROSAT之前，Einstein观测仪器的X射线观测曾暗示B5-A7型星 lacks X射线发射。由于这些星 lacks可用的X射线发射机制（也包括HgMn星），对于这种光谱类型的X射线检测星，通常的论点是存在一颗不可见的低质量伴星，其负责X射线发射。本文旨在使用我们对X射线检测HgMn星样本中可用的所有数据，并得出关于可能伴星性质的结论。
