HAWC 对高质量微类星体的搜寻

摘要

具有高质量伴星微类星体是很有希望的甚高能(VHE;0.1–100 TeV)伽马射线发射体,但其在 10 TeV 以上的行为尚不清楚。利用高海拔水切伦科夫(HAWC)天文台,我们搜寻与已知高质量微类星体(HMMQ)位置重合的伽马射线超出。在 1523 天的 HAWC 数据中,未观测到 LS 5039、Cygnus X-1、Cygnus X-3 和 SS 433 的显著发射。我们对每个源设定了迄今在 10 TeV 以上最严格的限制。假设 HMMQ 通过共同机制产生伽马射线,我们进行了源堆叠搜寻,考虑两种不同情形:I)伽马射线光度是微类星体喷流光度的分数 ϵγ\epsilon_\gamma;II)甚高能伽马射线由相对论性电子在磁场 BB 中上散射伴星辐射场产生。对于情形 I,我们得到 ϵγ<5.4×106\epsilon_\gamma < 5.4\times 10^{-6},这严格约束了认为 HMMQ 可产生可观测高能中微子发射的模型。在情形 II 中,VHE 伽马射线的未探测到给出了强磁场,这对同步辐射作为微类星体在 10 keV 至 10 MeV 间主导发射机制提出了挑战。
